During the Valentine weekend, Rob Bell and his wife Kristen appeared on Oprah’s “Super Soul Sunday” program to discuss their book, The Zimzum of Love: A New Way of Understanding Marriage. About half way through the show, his wife reads an excerpt from the book: “Marriage, gay and straight, is a gift to the world because the world needs more not less love, fidelity, commitment, devotion and sacrifice”.
Earlier this week, Alex, the boy and author, recanted his testimony about the afterlife he wrote about in this best-selling book. In an open letter to Christian bookstores posted on the Pulpit and Pen Web site, Alex states flatly: “I did not die. I did not go to Heaven.”
